Trainings for Municipal Enterprises’ Specialists in the field of water supply were held in the Naryn Region

Under the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program (NRWSSDP), for the purpose of increasing the capacity of municipal enterprises’ specialists, as well as representatives of local government authorities and village water committees interacting with them, trainings on the subject "Business Planning and Development of Water Supply Enterprises" were held

These trainings were held on August 5 - 13, 2024 in the Chet-Nura, Zherge-Tal and Zhan-Bulak Aiyl Aimaks of Naryn district, as well as in the Ala-Buga Aiyl  Aimak of Ak-Tala district of the Naryn region.

During the trainings, specifics of planning and development of water supply enterprises were presented to the participants, which covered such areas as business planning, marketing planning, production and financial planning. In addition, the participants received knowledge in the field of risk analysis and management. During the training, practical classes were held, where participants were given the opportunity to consolidate the theoretical lessons through presenting their ideas based on the results of group work.

We remind you that the trainings were conducted under the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Developemnt Program (NRWSSDP) being implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS) and financed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank, the purpose of which is to ensure reliable access to safe drinking water supply and improved sanitation for rural settlements in the Naryn region, the achievement of which will be ensured by such final outputs as extension of water supply and sanitation infrastructure and piloting the sanitation solutions, strengthening the institutional capacity to increase sustainability in the rural water supply and sanitation sector.
