Trainings to increase the capacity of Municipal Enterprises’ specialists in the field of water supply have been started in the Naryn region
The Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic informs about the ongoing training on management and economic sustainability of municipal enterprises aimed at increasing the capacity of Municipal Enterprises’ specialists in the field of water supply, including representatives of executive bodies of local governments and village Water Committees that are interacting with them.
These trainings will be held on August 5 – 13 of 2024 in the Chet-Nura, Zherge-Tal and Zhan-Bulak Aiyl Aimaks, as well as in the Ala-Buga Aiyl Aimak of the Ak-Tala district of the Naryn region. During the trainings, participants will get knowledge on services under implementation of local importance issues, the basics and methods for organizing services. In addition, they will study the factors influencing to increasing the economic and financial sustainability of the Municipal Enterprise. Also, as part of the training, the successful experience of the Zhety-Oguz region will be presented to the training participants.
The trainings will be conducted under the “Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program (NRWSSDP)” implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS) and financed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank.
We would like to remind you that the main goal of the ARIS NRWSSDP is to ensure reliable access to safety drinking water supply and improved sanitation for rural settlements in the Naryn region, the achievement of which will be ensured by such outcomes as expanding water supply and sanitation infrastructure and piloting sanitation solutions, strengthening institutional capacity to improve sustainability in the rural water supply and sanitation sector.
