NRWSSDP: Capacity Building for Municipal Water Supply Enterprise Staff in the Naryn Region
The Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS) informs that in target areas of the Naryn region, from May 31 till June 8, 2024, trainings are being conducted to improve the institutional capacity of municipal water supply enterprises’ staff as part of implementation of the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program.
Two-day trainings are conducted at the village level on the following topics:
“Hygienic Requirements for Household and Drinking Water Supply Systems and Water Disinfection”,
“Hygienic Requirements and Drinking Water Quality Standards. Testing of Drinking Water."
The target audience of the ongoing trainings are employees of ME and AO, Water Committees’ members in the villages thar are the Program subprojects located in the Chet-Nura, Zhan-Bulak and Zherge-Tal Aiyl Aimaks (Naryn district) and the Ala-Buka Aiyl Aimak (Ak-Tala district).
Main objectives of the training:
Improvement of employees’ qualification: the training program includes relevant methods and technologies used in the water supply sector.
Sanitation and hygiene standards: knowledge was gained on water disinfection, hygienic requirements for the drinking water quality and safety.
Introduction of innovations: familiarization with new innovative solutions and approaches in the field of water supply.
Improving the service quality: training in standards and methods aimed at improving the quality of water supply for the population.
It should be noted that the key focus of the training is to develop professional skills and knowledge required for effective management and operation of water supply systems, as well as to improve the quality of services provided to the population.
