REDP: ARIS Executive Director checked the progress of facilities in Uzgen

Osh region, April 16, 2025. — ARIS Executive Director M. Naspekov jointly with the mayor of Uzgen city E. Taev and REDP Coordinator, A. Kadyrov and other project team checked the progress of implementation of facilities that are under construction or reconstruction.

During the working visit, they monitored the following facilities:

• Orto-Korgon Park, which is being reconstructed;

• City Stadium, which is also undergoing modernization; and

• Pedestrian bridge connecting two famous public spaces of the city, like Orto-Korgon Park and Tynchtyk Park of leisure and culture.

During the visit to construction sites, M. Naspekov personally met with the representatives of contracting organizations, and noted that all work must be conducted with good quality, strictly following technical standards and on time. He also said that special attention should be given to transparency, security, and long-term sustainability of the implemented activities.

Mars Naspekov noted that “these interventions are not only the improvement of the city but also investment in the comfort, safety, and the future of residents. It is critical that every detail is fulfilled at the highest level, observing standards, since it is the quality that plays the main role in how long these facilities will function further on”. 

REDP is a project of the Cabinet of Ministers of the KR, which is funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project is aimed at the improvement of the livelihood of people and the development of social and economic infrastructure.
