Alauku Organics increases production capacity with the support of the Regional Economic Development Project
Huge investment has been made in Alaiku Organics from the Regional Economic Development Project to develop the dairy industry of the Osh region. As a leader of VC Milk, the company has several modern workshops on milk processing and has an established robust partnership with farmers throughout the region.
The deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, head of the country office of the WB in the Kyrgyz Republic Hugh Riddle, ARIS Executive Director M. Naspekov and other employees of the Ministry, the World Bank in Kyrgyzstan, ARIS and other concerned parties familiarized with the activity of Alaiku Organics.
With the support of the REDP, Alaiku Organics is planning to purchase equipment amounting to 34 986 000 KGS, which is designed to improve infrastructure on the storage and processing of milk. It includes a 20-ton milk receiving tank with a metering system, 20-ton cooling tanks, a line for the production and packaging of kurut (dried cheese), display refrigerators for dairy products, bottling lines for dairy products and a public milking station.
Also, under the project, the participants of the VC Milk purchased equipment and breeding cattle amounting to 31 545 000 KGS. It includes 144 heads of cattle of the following breeds: Holstein-Friesian (8 heads), Swiss (100 heads) and Simmental (82 heads).
In addition, it is planned to purchase another stock of breeding dairy cattle: 46 heads of Swiss breed and 14 heads of Simmental.
Alaiku Organics LLC strives for sustainable development of agriculture, supporting the local producers and providing consumers with high-quality dairy products and developing agriculture in the Osh region.
Regional Economic Development Project in the Osh region and Osh city (RED1) is implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic with financial support from the World Bank.
