The ARIS Executive Director monitored implementation progress of SRWSSDP and VIP-3 AF in Issyk-Kul Oblast

Executive Director of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Community Development and Investment Agency Mr. Mars Naspekov, Project Coordinator Korchubai uulu Erlan, Regional Coordinator for Issyk-Kul Melis Eshperov and project staff reviewed the activities under project components “Water supply infrastructure”, “Sanitation development” and “Institutional strengthening”.

Mr. Naspekov visited subprojects Kichi-Oruktu, Kurmontu and Jyluu-Bulak where works for rural water supply and sanitation improvements were being implemented.

At the meeting with contractors, Mr.Naspekov emphasized on the importance of the quality of works and their completion by due dates; he noted that sustainable water supply played key role in facilitating proper living conditions for local communities.

Further, Executive Director visited the works for construction of local health point, as part of the Additional Financing for Third Village Investment Project. The health point was aimed to improve access to medical services for community members.

Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project and Additional Financing for Third Village Investment Project are being financed by the World Bank with the support from the Cabinet of Ministers.
