CSP AF: Confectionery Shop Inaugurated in Mady Ayil Aimak, Kara-Suu District

As part of the Additional Financing of the Community Support Project, implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, a new confectionery shop was inaugurated in Mady Ayil Aimak, Kara-Suu District, Osh Oblast. The successful implementation of the shop was made possible by a well-developed business plan and the support of local residents

The opening ceremony was attended by Hugh Riddell, the World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic; Mars Naspekov, Executive Director of ARIS; Tolkun Jukusheva, Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist of the World Bank; Damira Temirbaeva, Social Development Specialist of the World Bank; and Mayrambek Bayaliev, Project Coordinator of the CSP AF, among others.

The new confectionery shop aims to create jobs and stimulate local economic development. With renovated production facilities and purchased modern equipment, the shop is set to produce high-quality confectionery products, including cakes and baked goods.

The shop not only meets local demand for fresh and tasty products but also supports local farmers and suppliers by increasing their income. Additionally, it serves as a hub for social and productive connections within the community, fostering cooperation and strengthening social ties.

Business partner Talant Kyzy Aydai expressed confidence in the subproject’s success, highlighting that the expansion and modernization of equipment have increased employment to 13 people. She emphasized that the new confectionery shop will play a crucial role in the region’s development by providing quality products, boosting economic growth, and enhancing social activity.
