Under the NRWSSDP in a number of Aiyl Aimaks in Ak-Tala and Naryn Districts of the Naryn Region, trainings on the topic “Operation and Maintenance of Rural Water Supply Systems” were conducted

On 1 -4 April of 2024, in order to improve the qualifications and capacity of specialists from municipal enterprises and Aiyl Okmotu, trainings on the topic “Operation and Maintenance of Rural Water Supply Systems”were conducted under the Naryn Rural water Supply and Sanitation development Program (NRWSSDP) in Ala- Buka Aiyl Aimak (Ak-Tala District), in the Chet-Nura, Zherge-Tal and Zhan-Bulak Aiyl Aimaks (Naryn District) of the Naryn region in accordance with the approved programs.

During the trainings, field Institutional Development Specialists of NRWSSDP told participants about the main goals and objectives of the trainings, provided presentations on the types of water intake structures, pumps and their operation, disinfection and purification of drinking water, maintenance and operation of the rural water supply system, drinking water reservoirs and pressure towers. The training participants were also presented with tasks on technical operation of networks and water pipelines, works on maintenance and repair of rural water supply networks, how to determine leaks and eliminate accidents on water supply lines.

The rules on using rural water supply, job descriptions of staff of municipal water supply enterprises, types of instructions, as well as on safety and labor protection were explained to the participants.

Upon the completion of training, during discussions the field Institutional Development Specialists of NRWSSDP provided comprehensive answers to all questions asked by the participants.
