As part of the NRWSSDP Program, AO Representatives, Local Kenesh Deputies, Municipal Enterprises’ Specialists and Water Committees of the Naryn Region Visited the Issyk-Kul region with a Purpose of Experience -Exchange Visit
On March 11 - 15 of this year, for the purpose of capacity building of communities involved under the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program (NRWSSDP), an exchange visit was held for representatives of aiyl okmotu, deputies of local keneshes, specialists from municipal enterprises and water committees from Chet-Nura, Zhan-Bulak, Zherge-Tal and Ala-Buka Aiyl Aimaks (AA) of the Naryn region in order to familiarize themselves with experience of implementing the water supply system subprojects in the villages of Darkan (Darkan Aiyl Aimak), Boz-Beshik (Orgochor Aiyl Aimak) and Zheti-Oguz (Zheti-Oguz Aiyl Aimak) of Issyk-Kul region that were completed under the Sustainable Rural of Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project (SRWSSDP) implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS).
During the exchange visit, AO representatives, local kenesh deputies, municipal enterprises’ specialists, water committees and field NRWSSDP specialists visited the “Boz-Beshik”, “Zheti-Oguz” and “Darkan” subprojects in the Zheti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, where they were presented with general progress of implementation of water supply system subprojects, experience accumulated during the works and the lessons learned. In addition, the guests were told about construction and installation works of water supply systems; about activities carried out on household connections; and they were also provided with information about tariffs for water consumption, plans for operation and maintenance of water supply systems and implementation of a billing (automated) payment system that allows you to calculate the cost of water supply system services for each consumer.
At the end of the visits, the SRWSSDP specialists, representatives of municipal water supply enterprises and local Aiyl Okmotu answered all questions of interest to the guests.
