The Next Training Sessions were Held in Naryn Region

 

Regular training sessions on drinking water supply system management were held in villages of Naryn region. Specifically, training sessions on "Connecting the Private Households to the Water Supply Network" were held in the Uchkun, Zherge-Tal and Kulanak villages in the Naryn region. Training sessions on "Economic Sustainability of a Municipal Enterprise" and "Business and Financial Planning" were held in the Chaek village (Zhumgal district), in Kara-Too, Kochkor, and Moldo-Kylych villages (Kochkor district) and in Baetovo village (Ak-Talaa district).

The training sessions were organized as part of the Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program funded by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank, and it is implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS).

The events took place on August 18 - 30, 2025. In total 255 people (including 175 women) participated in the trainings, including representatives of Aiyl Okmotu (village councils), Municipal Enterprise employees, deputies, and members of Water Committees/Initiative Groups.

During the training, participants received information and had the opportunity to improve their skills in the following areas:

  • legal framework for the Municipal Enterprise activities;
  • municipal property management;
  • conditions for ensuring economic stability;
  • budgeting and interaction with the local budget;
  • financial sustainability;
  • key stages and structure of a business plan.

In addition, presentations and videos were shown on topics such as connecting water to a household, obtaining a water connection permit, installing water meters, installing drinking water equipment, and installing a water supply system.

As a result of it, practical exercises were held, giving participants the opportunity to consolidate their acquired knowledge.
