The secondary school in Naiman village of Nookat rayon of Osh oblast was retrofitted under the Heat Supply Improvement Project
On February 8, 2024, in Nookat rayon of Osh oblast, a solemn event dedicated to the opening of the secondary school in Naiman village was held. This social facility was retrofitted under the Heat Supply Improvement Project implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS) and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the International Development Association and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Government of Switzerland.
The solemn event was attended by U. Bidinov, ARIS Heat Supply Improvement Project Coordinator, M. Abilov, Deputy Head of State Administration - Akim of Nookat rayon of Osh oblast, Marat Sagynbayev, ARIS Regional Coordinator for Osh oblast, invited guests, staff of the educational institution, and villagers.
During the comprehensive retrofitting, energy efficiency works were carried out. Heat insulation was improved, the building's seismic resistance was reinforced, old windows and doors were replaced with energy-saving ones, the heating system was retrofitted, electric ceramic radiators were installed, electrical wiring was completely renewed, energy-efficient LED lamps were installed, and the building's ventilation system was improved. One of the key advantages of the retrofitting is energy savings of 30-40%.
We would like to add that the main objective of the Heat Supply Improvement Project is to improve energy efficiency and seismic resistance in selected public buildings, mainly in the education and health sectors. Currently, the Project is completing retrofitting works in 6 social facilities located in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
