Monitoring the drinking water supply system construction progress in villages of Naryn Oblast

On July 15–16 2025, the Executive Director of the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS) Mr. Mars Damirovich Naspekov together with the Chairman of the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Muradil Zhanyshbekovich Sydykov visited a number of construction sites in Naryn Oblast and got acquainted with the progress of civil works.

As part of the visit, an inspection was conducted regarding to the progress of civil works to provide population with clean drinking water in the Uchkun and Kulanak villages of Uchkun Aiyl Aimak, Naryn District, as well as in the Baetov and Kaiyndy-Bulak villages of the Baetov Aiyl Aimak, Ak-Taly District.

These works are being carried out under “Naryn Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program” with the financial support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank. Its main objective is to provide residents of the Naryn Region villages  with clean drinking water and improved sanitation. This goal will be achieved through the development of infrastructure and capacity building at the local level. In this regard, it was announced that representatives of contractors working at the site are required to perform high-quality and timely construction work. It was noted that each facility is under individual control.
