The World Bank Implementation Support Mission reviewed project activity in Osh Oblast
The mission team visited sites in Osh Oblast as part of the Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project being implemented by the Kyrgyz Republic’s Community Development and Investment Agency. In particular, they familiarized themselves with works in subproject Toloikon for rehabilitation of the water supply system including drilling new 30-meter borehole and installation of submersible pump etc.
The project team reported on details of civil works complemented by parallel sanitation development and institutional strengthening activities.
In conclusion of the field visit, the mission team met with local government officials, teachers of the secondary school, contractors and community members.
In addition, the World Bank team visited SES department of Karasuu Raion which received earlier a set of laboratory equipment for water quality testing under the sanitation development component.
