The World Bank Mission has discussed the implementation of the VIP-3 AF
Today on February 16, a discussion was held on status of implementation of the Additional Financing subprojects under the "Third Village Investment Project" (COVID-19 response). Mirbek Dosuev, Coordinator of the VIP-3 AF, emphasized that out of 337 SPs: 264- social, 73 - livelihoods. In order to actively engage residents of the target aimaks in the social mobilization process in priority areas for the communities, 578 windows were created on the project online platform, 8113 people participated in online discussions, including 2290 women (61.69%).
To empower vulnerable women, youth, migrants, elderly and persons with disabilities, the Livelihoods Support Program has also been provided and trainings on business planning, four training modules on value chains, gender and entrepreneurship development have been conducted. If we note the qualitative composition of the training participants, then: 20% are represented by vulnerable groups and 5% by representatives of micro-businesses (90% of the total number of trainees are women).
Today, the Task Team of the WB Mission, led by its head, Senior Social Development Specialist Mr. Christopher Finch, was also briefed in detail on project activities to increase the capacity of communities in climate change.
