The World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic Monitored Medical Facilities in Osh Oblast
Hugh Riddell, the World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Executive Director of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS), M. Naspekov, and representatives of the World Bank and ARIS, visited Ozgur village in Toloykon Aiyl Aimag of Kara-Suu District, Osh Oblast, to inspect the First-Aid-Point (FAP) constructed under the Community Support Project.
The total investment for this subproject amounted to KGS 3,861,630. This FAP is crucial in providing primary health care, preventing the development of various diseases, and delivering quality care to pregnant women and newborns.
The FAP in Ozgur village is a clear example of how investments in rural medical infrastructure can improve the quality of life for local residents and reduce medical costs by providing affordable and quality care locally.
Additionally, Mr. Riddell visited the ‘Kurmanjan Datka Primary Care Center’ in Mady Aimak, Kara-Suu District, where a modern radiography system valued at KGS 5,270,000 was purchased under the Additional Financing of the Community Support Project. This system, equipped with advanced digital motion radiography technology, significantly enhances the ability to diagnose and monitor diseases.
It's worth noting that the modern radiographic system allows for images to be taken without requiring patients to undress, greatly increasing the comfort of medical examinations. This technology ensures high image quality and safety while preserving patient privacy.
The Community Support Project and its Additional Financing are implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic with support from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and financed by the World Bank.
