Regular meeting of ARIS Steering Committee took place on January 27, 2024.

The ARIS Steering Committee is chaired by Almaz Isanov, head of the Department for Political and Economic Studies at the Presidential Administration.

The meeting reviewed ARS activities in 2023.

In addition, project coordinators presented their reports and work plans for 2024 for

- Access to Market Project;

-Regional Economic Development Project;

- Second Regional Economic Development Project;

- Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project;

- Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Program in Naryn;

- Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project in Batken and Talas;

- CASA-1000 Community Support Project and its Additional Financing;

- Additional Financing for Third Village Investment Project (COVID-19);

- Heat Supply Improvement Project;

- FAO Project for carbon sequestration through climate investment in forests and pastures;

Likewise, reports on ARIS accreditation with the Green Climate Fund and Internal Audit for 2023 have been presented.

The Executive Director Mars Naspekov summarized the meeting focusing on key outputs achieved in 2023.

All reports for projects over the reporting period have been accepted by the SC members unanimously.
