Today, February 15th, the World Bank's Mission for the Pre-appraisal of the National Community Initiatives Project (NCIP) has started. Over the course of several days, lasting until February 23rd, discussions will revolve around implementation arrangements of the NCIP in Kyrgyzstan, institutionalizing community-driven development approaches, intervention with local self-government bodies, types of investments for target communities incorporating climate change adaptation strategies, capacity building, social mobilization, social and environmental management and more. 

The mission is being led by Mr. Christopher Finch and Ms. Louiza Nora, both Senior Social Development Specialists and Task Team Leaders, along with Ms. Damira Temirbaeva, also a Social Development Specialist and Co-Task Team Leader, and Mr. Aibek Ashirov, a World Bank Economist. Additionally, participants include Ms. Asel Mambetkulova, Deputy Executive Director of ARIS, Mr. Mirbek Dosuev, Coordinator of the VIP-3 AF, Mr. Mayrambek Bayaliev, Coordinator of the CASA-1000 CSP, and management personnel from the aforementioned projects.
