ARIS familiarized with the European experience of innovative water treatment plants.

On March 9-11, 2023, a delegation of the Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS), headed by Executive Director Mars Naspekov, made a working trip to Lithuania. The main goal was to get familiarized with the production technology of innovative water treatment plants that are widely represented in the European and world markets.

During the visit, the ARIS delegation (including S. Mamyrbayeva, sanitation and hygiene specialist of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project and M. Karimova, infrastructure engineer of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development in Naryn Region Program) visited "August ir Ko" company in Vilnius.

Representatives of the company described in detail the mechanisms of the production process and gave details of the innovations being introduced. Thus, AUGUST biological treatment plants operate on the basis of the latest generation of unique biological wastewater treatment technology VFL (Vertical Flow Labyrinth - patented in the European Union) that is successfully used in wastewater treatment systems in more than 30 countries around the world. These septic tanks provide fast, guaranteed wastewater treatment with the ability to reuse the liquid. The facilities save electricity and water, raising the environmental level of world standards.
